Fire crews clean cars for charity
Last updated at 14:38, Thursday, 31 March 2011
Firefighters turned on the waterworks with a charity car wash marathon.
Fire crews from Bootle, Broughton and Barrow took part in a charity car wash to help raise funds for the Fire Fighters charity.
The event, part of a national car wash organised by the charity, saw hundreds of crews take part in the twice yearly event.
The charity, which helps firefighters injured on duty, regularly raises more than £340,000 with the event.
Drivers pulled up and in exchange for a donation crew members cleaned cars and vans.
The Square in Broughton saw dozens of vehicles hosed down by the Broughton crew led by Chris Hull and Ken Church.
The next national car wash is due to take place in September.
